Rosanna Mestice

Calciano

For almost twenty years, Rosanna has been living in Bubenreuth with her family, but her story begins much earlier through a journey that starts from Calciano, a small town in Basilicata, passes through Milan, and eventually leads to Germany.

She spends her childhood and the years immediately after graduation in the Lombard capital, then her husband’s professional needs take the couple to the Bavarian village. In between, there’s Calciano, where Rosanna always returns whenever she has the chance. For her, Calciano represents summer, a place of memory where the threads of past, present, and future come together. In this interview, she talks about how important it is for her to maintain a connection with her homeland and how the move to an initially unfamiliar reality has fostered her untapped potential.
