On the third Sunday of June, during the feast of Saint Anthony, the marriage between a beech trunk and the top of a pine, the “Ndenna,” is celebrated, marking the climax of a ceremony that begins two weeks prior at the foot of Mount Alpi, amidst the imposing and evocative backdrop of the Pollino National Park.
