Along the narrow streets and alleys of Tricarico, the procession of Bulls and Cows parades:
they are masks belonging to the carnival tradition of the Lucanian municipality, expressions of local folklore that evoke the ancient ritual of transhumance. Each mask is adorned with a cowbell, an instrument that during the procession forms the sound carpet upon which the parade moves.
