Serena decided to embark on an adventure beyond the Italian borders by moving to Malta in 2019. Motivated by a job opportunity in the marketing and social media sector at an emerging company in the world of sports and cryptocurrencies, she embraced the challenge and quickly integrated herself. She currently works for a Dutch social media agency called 433, known for its vast influence in the football world with over 70 million followers on Instagram. She feels the distance from her homeland and family. She misses the food, traditions, and the sense of belonging to her community. She is proud to be Lucanian and admires the tenacity of her compatriots who continue to live in a region with few opportunities. Her dream is to return to Italy within the next ten years.
