Under the ashes of an extinct volcano, a wine that burns with passion.
The Vulture is a now extinct volcano. It is named after Mount Vulture, which, with its height of 1326 meters, dominates the northern part of Basilicata. Right here, in the valley, the Cantine del Notaio winery produces one of the most renowned Italian wines: Aglianico del Vulture. The location of the vineyards, subject to significant temperature variations, and the ash that has seeped into the soil after millennia of volcanic eruptions, make the characteristics of this wine so unique that it stands out from the Aglianico of Campania and Puglia.
